If I am given the fligth plan by FSX then the controller will expect me to fly that route. Now that the flight plan is entered what if I call up clearance delivery at MIA and they give me a SIDor change my departing runway? Or if I get to JFK and they give me a STAR? How do I treat that in regards to the FMC? I have never hear of a victor airway being called anything other than VXX. This will place a 10DME ARC around the VOR and outline the 020 outbound radial in green on the EHSI in MAP mode.Įdited by THBatMan8, 25 March 2009 - 04:12 PM. Then type the radial followed by a DME ARC you want, IE 020/10. Go to the FIX page on the FMC and type the ICAO code of the VOR in the scratchpad and press 1L LSK. You can then either go to the EFIS/MCP and change the EHSI to display Raw Data or verify on the RMI.Īnother way is the FIX page. You can enter either the ICAO code of the VOR or the frequency itself and then press 1L LSK or 1R LSK depending on which NAV radio you want the tuned VOR on. If you want to verify that you are on the airway go to the Nav radio page on the FMC. On a side note, you'll have to enter each waypoint individually on AR1 on the RTE page 2. I'll have to take a look at my enroute charts eventually to verify. The FMC wouldn't take AR1 and I think it's because either it's a victor airway, a one way airway or it's not in the database period.
